Bio

Dana Kanhai is a doctoral candidate in Michigan State University's Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (HALE) program. Her research broadly focuses on how higher education institutions support college students with autism. For her dissertation work, she is particularly interested in how faculty perceive and respond to the needs of college students with autism. While her doctoral research will focus on the U.S. context, she is committed to supporting and contributing to the efforts being made in her home country of Trinidad & Tobago to ensure equity and access to education for children, adolescents and young adults on the spectrum.
