Establishing a Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Evidence-based Practice in Vocational Rehabilitation

Michael J. Leahy, University Distinguished Professor, RAIND Co-Director, and Director of the Office of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies,
Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education

Michigan State University is a partner in this large-scale effort with researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (administrative home of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center), and the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center will generate new knowledge about culturally sensitive, evidence-based vocational rehabilitation practices in an effort to improve employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research(NIDRR), this five-year grant supports the multiple case study phases of the project, where Dr. Leahy serves as the principal investigator.
